Topic: Big Hole River Floodplain Approximate Zone A Mapping Results & Next Steps
This month's meeting will feature a presentation of the Floodplain Approximate Zone A mapping. The floodplain maps have been in development for two years and in final draft form for comment and DNRC approval. When the maps are adopted by the counties, they will be able to meet the new state and federal standards for maintaining human health and safety. Additional standards for activities in the floodplain may also be considered. Our presentation will include a brief history of the project, final results, description of next steps, and what role the BHWC can play to ensure success provided by DNRC and FutureWest. In addition, the meeting will provide a Big Hole River stream flow report by DNRC, updates from the BHWC and its committees, and new business.
Our meetings are open to the public and we encourage attendance. Find more information on our website: bhwc.org
